Riding to Success Program comes to an end for 2013

The highly successful and innovative 'Riding to Success' program has come to an end in 2013.

Students in Years 3 - 7 completed their final day on October 14.  The students were able to successfully demonstrate their horse handling skills, by completing a dressage course.  The basic course including complex manoevouring, walking, stopping and keeping within set areas.

For many students the program was the first time riding a horse, and the improvement in both skills and confidence was clearly evident.

The program was introduced to increase student confidence both during lessons and also back in the classroom.

The Hendra State School community wishes to thank all our expert volunteers and the Doomben Polo Academy for their support over the last term.  The school community looks forward to continuing to work with the Doomben Polo Academy in 2014, in order for this tremendous program to continue.
